The Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition is designed to help nursing mothers balance religious observance with their infant feeding needs. Shabbat Mode™ allows the pump to operate automatically according to pre-set intervals and durations, without manual intervention. The Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition is certified by Star-K for use according to the recommended guidelines.

Shabbat Mode™ must be set before Shabbat begins. Once Shabbat starts, the timer cannot be changed. When properly programmed, the pump operates automatically according to the pre-set pumping intervals and durations, so no manual intervention is required during Shabbos.

Yes. The Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition is Star-K certified for use according to specific guidelines, including: the pump timer must be set before Shabbos and cannot be changed during Shabbos; the user must wear a hands-free pumping bra with the Z2 Pumping Kit, or any compatible bra with the Hands-Free Collection Cups, put on before the scheduled pumping session begins and left in place until pumping has ended and the pump has turned off; and expressed milk may be retained, does not need to be discarded, and may be moved and stored in a refrigerator on Shabbos.

Both options include the Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition and allow you to use the Z2 Double Pumping Kit. The difference is the hands-free option: the Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition with 2-in-1 Pumping Bra is designed for moms who plan to only use the Z2 Double Pumping Kit, while the Z2 Shabbat Mode™ Edition and Hands-Free Collection Cups includes the Z2 Double Pumping Kit plus Hands-Free Collection Cups, giving you the flexibility to choose between traditional and hands-free pumping.

Yes! When Shabbat Mode™ is turned off, you can use the Z2’s regular pumping modes and settings.

The two bottles included with the Z2 Pumping Kit each hold 4.75 oz (140 mL). The Hands-Free Collection Cups each hold up to 8 oz (237 mL). Compatible 8 oz (237 mL) bottles are also available for purchase separately.
